Singer / songwriter Mylee Grace shares her effortlessly beautiful single “Someday Song” with accompanying music video. A tune that reveals the beauty of evolving into yourself that will resonate with anyone young, old and growing. On the coast of northern NSW, nestled in a quiet National Park in Bundjalung country where Mylee wrote the song. Here Grace writes about being present with the ones you love and not putting on hold your happiness. Written the night before it was recorded, you can hear the honesty, rawness and natural feeling in her lyrics and rolling melody. It would be the final track written for the upcoming 11 track album. Recorded in the hills of Coorabell, with Engineer Samuel Joseph of The Family Jordan and collaborator with King Gizzard Lizard Wizard. Someday song is a woman singing her way through the mystery that is living and loving; it is equal parts reassuring and daring. With mesmerising vocals and dreamy guitar lines, Someday Song is a stunningly curated happy coalescence of womanhood. Grace also calls it “ the Recycler song “ As lines were taken from other songs off the album that didn't make the cut. There’s also a reference to the great Dolly Parton line about wildflowers not caring where they grow.
The music video is equally enchanting, directed and produced by close friend Loren Bradley, it is a bewitching, aesthetic and dreamlike story. Shot by Ed Triglione (DOP), at the same location as Someday Song was written. We follow Mylee moving through a natural landscape, followed by a colourful group of women. Also in the clip features Grace’s ethereal and beautiful mother Maria Stratton who appears as a multi instrumentalist on the upcoming album, drummer Fiona Franklin and Mylee’s seven year old daughter Goldie, for a fleeting moment. Styled by the effervescent Kirsty Barros, Hair and Makeup by Cassie Lapthorne. The clip has been gifted with a playful colour palette that is married beautifully with the movement direction of Vanessa Marian of Groove Therapy. Adorned in several emerging and established Australian designers, such as Romance Was Born, Ten Pieces, Loomes, Caroline Reznik, Nicol and Ford, Jarrod Reid, Karla Spetic and a handful of bright catsuits Barros had custom made. The women featured in the film are representative of the figures in her life who support Mylee and hold her accountable for bringing her art into the world. Someday Song is a gorgeous sneak peek into her upcoming album, 𝘞𝘩𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘩 𝘐𝘯 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘰𝘴𝘩𝘱𝘪𝘵, one listen and it will have you swaying and dancing your way through your day.

Lyrics:
We’ll work it out someday
We’ll be playing double time
And hold a heart shaped keepsake
Looking up at the night sky
Pass it over
Then kiss it off
Wonder where the seabird goes
And wish we could fish like her
We’ll work it out someday
Just like the wild flowers, they don’t care where they grow
They just wanna grow
They just gotta grow
When I say someday
It could be right now today
I never want our happiness to
Ever be far away
Ever be far away
We’ll work it out someday
We’ll be playing in a rock n’ roll band
Whiplash in the moshpit baby
You always were my biggest fan
Find a place to stay for a while
And make things with our two hands
Bring a candle but hold the fire
Wait till the wind dies down
We’ll work it out someday
Pull up some grass and watch the moon rise
In it’s round face I see the melancholy in me
The melancholy in me
When I say someday
It could be right now today
I never want our happiness to
Ever be far away
Ever be far away
Ever be far away
Ever be far away
